If a picture (or video) is worth a thousand words, Jessie Koon is a master storyteller. Jessie helps our clients advance their marketing strategies through forward-thinking photo, video, and editing services. Before each project, she asks the important questions: What’s the purpose of this project? Who is the audience? Why is it important? She then handles all aspects of the storyboarding, production, and finalization of the end product, always with the objectives of our clients in mind.
Jessie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a minor in Studio Art from Seattle University. She worked as a staff photographer for the school newspaper, The Spectator, for two years. After graduating, Jessie became increasingly interested in videography and began to expand her skillset beyond still images. She has also worked extensively as a freelancer, creating videos for local Tacoma nonprofits.
Her favorite part of being a MadCap team member has been learning new skillsets from her colleagues. She has gained valuable experience outside of photography and videography, making her a well-rounded member of the team.
Jessie is a big music lover, as she was raised on oldies but goodies by her dad. Her love of the 50s, 60s and 70s isn’t limited to music, however. When she’s not at work, you might find her thrift shopping for vintage treasures or watching a classic Alfred Hitchcock film.
From Graphic Design and Social Media to Photo and Video Editing, Jerleen is MadCap Marketing’s Utility Employee. As a Utility Employee, she assists our team with client needs, ensuring a positive marketing experience for everyone.
After graduating from college for Graphic Design, Jerleen lived abroad in Germany where she worked on various freelance projects. When she came back from Germany, she gained an internship with the Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s Employment Readiness Program. At this internship she learned the ins and outs of social media management and effectively created various marketing materials.
In her free time, she enjoys making content for her YouTube and TikTok, singing, gaming, watching anime, crocheting, and spending time with her two fur-babies and husband.
If there’s a cooler job title than Customer Concierge, we don’t know what it is. Colton Haisch joins the MadCap Marketing team as the go-to for all things customer service and communication.
Customers are our greatest asset and when we commit to a customer, we mean it! Colton will be on hand to assist everyone on the team through the navigation process as we create something you are certain to love. Experience is everything, and MadCap wants yours to be immeasurably positive.
Born and raised in Olympia, WA, as a current Lakewood WA resident, Colton remains close to home. A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Washington University, Colton is passionate about providing smooth and easy service as it is related to the marketing and communications experience clients receive from MadCap Marketing. Colton’s previous experience ranges from marketing for painting services, to collegiate athletics and we are confident Colton will lend the perfect combination of expertise and charisma to our MadCap team.
A fun fact about Colton is that he is the head coach for Special Olympics flag football.
Looking for a multiskilled Barketing expert? Then look no further! Thor Escobarson can do it all! When you need someone to sniff out a bad situation, add a little woof to your daily routine, or be told when its playtime, Thor can do all that and more.
Formerly attending a prestigious obedience school studying mechanical engineering, he discovered his potential in Barketing one day when he saw the mailman approach his house from the second story window. He let out a few loud barks and the rest is history. Thor then proceeded to drop out of obedience school to start and finish his Barketing education online. After finishing his degree, he then decided to work on his fetching and napping abilities in order to broaden his skill set. After some time, he was hired by MadCap as the new Chief Barketing Officer.
Thor keeps us all at MadCap Marketing (in particular our Web Developer) on task by handling the small things such as reminding us when its time to eat or alert us when there is someone at the door. He is dedicated, driven, innovative, and results-oriented, especially when it comes to getting belly rubs whenever he wants.
While not at work, Thor pretty much does the same thing as if he was. He does use some time outside of work to further his research in discovering the answer to “Who's a good boy?” and why he sometimes can’t find the ball when it is thrown.
Web Developer + UX + IT
Escobar is MadCap Marketing’s go-to, can’t-live-without Web Developer. It’s his job to make sure the functionality of our clients’ websites is just as awesome as the look and feel. And while he makes it look simple, building an easy-to-navigate, solutions-focused website takes a large amount of skill, patience, and intuition. Lucky for MadCap, Escobar has all three of these qualities!
Another key role of Escobar’s is providing our clients with I.T. support. This includes troubleshooting complicated issues and solving web-based mysteries—yes, he’s a modern-day web detective. This sleuthing also happens to be his favorite part of working at MadCap Marketing!
Escobar boasts an interesting professional journey. He’s been a foster care Case Manager, bartender, cook, product photographer, tech entrepreneur, and freelance web developer and I.T. Analyst. This varied experience allows him to successfully work and collaborate with clients in various industries, while providing our team with new and unique perspectives.
In addition to being a web wizard, Escobar is a biker (you can find him riding the streets up and down Tacoma) an amateur street photographer, ukulele, acoustic, and electric guitar player, hiker, and gamer. He truly is a jack-of-all-trades!
Have you ever seen a job description that lists a ton of responsibilities and ends with “other duties as assigned?” That’s where Danielle comes in. And she doesn’t just get them done… she gets them done well and on time—every time. Danielle acts as a backbone of the firm, assisting clients, working on projects, and coordinating events. She gets things done.
Prior to joining the MadCap team, she served in several key roles at Business Examiner Media group, including Circulation Director and Director of Research. With the help of other impressive prior positions, Danielle honed her marketing skills and intuition to become an invaluable member of our team. Her favorite part of working at MadCap is getting the opportunity to work with a great group of people—both colleagues and clients.
Fun facts: Danielle is a former Fantasy NASCAR champion and she loves heavy metal music.
As a principal and partner of MadCap Marketing, you could say that Stephanie Schramm does it all… and that wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Involved in every aspect of the firm, she is a force to be reckoned with as she interfaces with clients, manages budgets, and propels her team to be the best it can be. Oh, and did we mention she actually runs the day-to-day duties for the firm as well?
Stephanie has been a prominent fixture in the South Sound business community for over two decades. This marketing, media buying, and event experience—and her many connections—benefit clients in ways that other firms only dream of. An expert in all facets of marketing, clients turn to her for, well, everything. With Stephanie, it’s about passion, innovation, and results. Period.
Her favorite thing about being a principal of MadCap Marketing? That’s easy—the people. Whether it’s her team, clients, or vendors, she has surrounded herself with fun, genuine individuals that want to propel local businesses… like yours.
When Stephanie isn’t working on MadCap business, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, playing softball, and getting her passport stamped as a world traveler.
Random fact: If she hadn’t started her own marketing firm, you might have found Stephanie in a police car. Driving it, that is! She has always been interested in crime forensics and police work.
Social Media Coordinator
Nathan is nothing short of a creative mind when helping clients represent their brands, which is perfectly in sync with the goals of MadCap’s approach to branding and marketing. Nathan lives for turning imagination into reality. His photographic memory is a tool he likes to use when running social media accounts. His goal is to help present the authenticity in each of his clients. Putting them in the best spot for people to see them is what social media is all about!
Another passion Nathan has for his work is connecting with people and maintaining healthy work relationships. He knows that there are multiple perspectives to seeing things and that teamwork and communication are key to finding success. Nathan knows he can represent clients best when he knows them first as the people behind the work, and will strive to learn all he can about the folks in preparation to help them shine.
His social media experience has grown since his college days while running his fraternity’s accounts as well as his own dedicated to sneaker culture. He continued his path by accepting an internship as a sports content promoter and later taking on his first post-graduate opportunity as a social media account manager. His time with our team is only the best opportunity to grow both himself and our team!
Nathan grew up an athlete while being a huge Seattle sports fan and likes to search for vintage jerseys as he customizes them as a side job. Also, a dedicated sneakerhead who adds to his collection, he likes to use his eye for photography to create content for his sneaker page. He loves to do so with his interest in many genres of music. He continued his family’s legacy by becoming a high school football coach for a couple of seasons at his alma mater and is a gamer in some of his free time.
